Bonnyrigg & District Community Council
Bonnyrigg and District Community Council is a voluntary organisation representing residents of Bonnyrigg, Poltonhall, Lasswade, and Hopefield. It acts as a local voice to Midlothian Council, facilitates community activities, and supports local democracy by bringing people together to address local issues and promote the wellbeing of the area.

Bonnyrigg Community Childcare Partnership is a registered charity within Bonnyrigg, Midlothian. We operate two divisions within the charity; a childcare division delivering out of school care services and early learning and childcare services and a community division delivering community support and development as well as operating a charity shop and community tea room.

Central Dalkeith & Woodburn Pantry is a community-led food initiative offering affordable groceries to local households through a £3.50 weekly shop with free fresh produce and essentials. Open Fridays at the Woodburn Community Hub, it supports over 300 members while tackling food waste and promoting home growing.

Changeworks
Changeworks supports making homes across Scotland more energy efficient by providing expert advice and services that reduce carbon emissions and address the climate emergency. The Dalkeith project offers guidance and funding access for energy saving, renewable technologies, active travel, recycling, and managing hard-to-heat homes.

Cousland Smiddy Trust cares for a historic blacksmith’s workshop dating back to the early 18th century, along with a Victorian cottage, organic allotments, and heritage green spaces. The site hosts the local history project, heritage hub, and community groups that celebrate Cousland’s rich past.
